Germany joined the IOM in 1954.

Our Work
Our WorkAs the leading inter-governmental organization promoting since 1951 humane and orderly migration, IOM plays a key role to support the achievement of the 2030 Agenda through different areas of intervention that connect both humanitarian assistance and sustainable development. In Germany, IOM implements projects mainly in the areas of migrant protection and assistance, as well as advocating for migrants’ rights and serving as a liaison office for German funded IOM activities worldwide.

Addressing Women in Return Preparatory Measures (RkvM)
The Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF), the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and Social Impact gGmbH cordially invite you to the online event "Addressing Women in Return Preparatory Measures (RkVM)". In addition to a presentation of the StartHope@Home project and concrete examples of migrant women who have returned to their country of origin after participating in the measures, the following relevant questions will be addressed in short workshops, among others:
- How can more interested women be reached for RkVM/StartHope@Home?
- How can women's access to RkVM/StartHope@Home be facilitated?
- How can women be specifically prepared in the course of RkVM/StartHope@Home to start a business in the respective target country?
The event, held in German, will take place on Thursday, 30 June, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm via Webex. You will receive the dial-in details after your registration on this form.
