IOM Germany and Maisha e.V.
On 17 December 2021, IOM Germany partnered with Maisha e.V., a leading African diaspora organization in Germany, to organize an event for the African community on access to healthcare.
Speakers included Virginia Wangare Greiner, Dr. Rev. Garnet Parris, and Alexander Gacheru. During the event, speakers and participants exchanged on the barriers to migrant access to health in Germany, and exchanged ideas on how to overcome these barriers. Maisha e.V. also presented its services for migrants, including COVID-19 measures.
The event provided an opportunity for IOM Germany to better understand the needs of migrants in accessing healthcare in Germany.
