- 2030 Agenda
Family members of persons entitled to protection can come to Germany within the framework of family reunification, after receiving a visa. This process can be challenging, the travel needs to be planned and necessary documents must be collected, unaccompanied minors have to be accompanied by travel escorts. The International Organisation for Migration (IOM) can provide organisational support to relatives.
IOM Germany, in coordination with the IOM offices in the countries of the relatives, organizes the departures and flights, checks and assists with the travel documents and visas, arranges accommodation and catering at airports and during transit and provides escort services for unaccompanied persons and persons in need of assistance. Further support needs can be coordinated individually with the IOM office in Nuremberg. Financial support is not possible.
